The Comfort They Need.
The Care They Deserve.
Discover how TLC Suffolk delivers cuddles, confidence and comfort to children during their most difficult times
Making a Difference Across Suffolk
The Province of Suffolk started delivering TLC teddies in 2005 and since then we have given out nearly 29,000 bears to local hospitals, refuge centres, health centres and ambulance hubs.

The hospitals we cover are
Ipswich Heath Road and James Paget near Great Yarmouth and Rainbows, West Suffolk, Bury St Edmunds.

Expanding our reach
We now give bears to Waveney Ambulance Depot and the new "Support Bear."

The TLC 'Support' Teddy
Over the last few years many Provinces have started donating to the TLC Support Teddy to hospital wards, refuges, hospices and women's refuges, including local organisations such as EACH Treehouse, Phoebe Centre, The Lighthouse and Brave Futures in Ipswich, Restore in Bury St Edmunds and Bumblebees in Stowmarket.
To support the donation of TLC teddies to these organisations and hospital departments, we have developed a second bear called the 'Support Teddy'.

"The wording on the label of the Support Teddy is more appropriate for children who are in real need of a comforting teddy but aren't necessarily 'in distress'.
In particular those children in bereavement counselling or finding themselves in a refuge."

Each teddy has a special purpose, designed to bring comfort where its's needed most.
